Musculoskeletal PhysiotherapistSpecial interest in Women's Health & Pilates
I graduated in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Wales College of Medicine. I began my career at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford as a junior physio. I then moved to Singapore and specialized in musculoskeletal outpatients working in various settings, including Singapore General Hospital, a private practice specializing in core stability training and a private hospital.
On returning to the UK in 2005, I began working for Sheffield Health treating musculoskeletal outpatients and orthopedic inpatients. I became the Women’s Health Specialist Physiotherapist and trained to teach Pilates. After working there for 4 years, I became the Integrated Clinical Services Manager, which involved managing the physiotherapy team and health assessments while continuing with a varied musculoskeletal and women's health caseload.
I now enjoy working part-time still treating musculoskeletal and Women's Health Patients and feel very lucky that I can balance family and work life. With my background in Pilates and women’s health, I enjoy looking at movement dysfunctions and combing manual treatment with core stability training.
