Priya Wernick
Specialist Paediatric PhysiotherapistI graduated from King College London in 2002 and chose to specialise in the field of Paediatric Physiotherapy very soon after. Having worked in a variety of several Teaching and District General Hospitals in London, Surrey and Hampshire, I have gained vast experience in all sub specialties of Paediatrics: including Respiratory, Neurological, Developmental, Musculoskeletal and Orthopedics. In 2021, I completed Masters in Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy at University College London, The Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital, gaining a distinction. This has further enhanced my breadth and depth of knowledge when managing children aged 0-16 years, presenting with physical symptoms, and formulating appropriate treatment and rehabilitation programs.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, APCP and a registered professional member of the Health Care Professionals Council, I am very passionate about keeping children active, promoting physical activity through age-appropriate assessment and treatment of conditions that limit physical function. I work for the NHS at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist, with a special interest in Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal conditions.
I am married and a mother of three children living in Farnham. I have achieved a great sense of reward and work life balance between being a mother, allied health professional and student throughout my career. I joined Farnham Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic in 2010 to offer a specialist Paediatric Physiotherapy Service and have become well established amongst the wider multi-Disciplinary teams in primary and secondary care in the Surrey and Hampshire area. The Paediatric Clinic runs weekly on Tuesday.
