Jo Clyne
Musculoskeletal PhysiotherapistSpecial interest in Sports Rehab
I am a clinical specialist with over 20 years' experience who graduated from Southampton University with a BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Physiotherapy. I am registered with the HCPC and a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
After qualifying, I spent 11 years working in the NHS, gaining experience in Orthopedics and Musculoskeletal outpatients. During this time, I developed a particular interest in movement dysfunction, muscle imbalance and core stability re-training. I qualified as a Pilates instructor and gained qualifications in acupuncture. My NHS career continued through both the John Radcliffe and Kings College hospital trusts culminating in an extended scope practitioner role, leading the spinal physiotherapist team at The Royal Berkshire Hospital and working alongside spinal surgeon Rob Marshall, in his outpatient clinic.
I have spent the last 12 years in the private sector, where I practice in all areas of outpatient Physiotherapy. I have further developed my specialisms with skills in assessment and treatment of both shoulder conditions, and the knee. I continue to use a variety of treatments, including manual therapy, ultrasound, shock wave therapy, acupuncture, and rehabilitation through exercise, to help manage acute and chronic conditions.
