  • Do I need a Doctors Referral for Physiotherapy?

    No, however, we do recommend that you contact your private health insurance company as they may require a medical referral to authorise reimbursement of treatment charges.

  • Can I claim the cost of my physiotherapy treatment from my insurance company?

    Farnham Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic is a registered physiotherapy provider with all major insurance companies, so treatment costs can be claimed back. However, it is important that you check your level of cover with your insurance company before commencing treatment. Please bring all your insurance details, including your membership and authorization numbers to your first appointment.

  • How long are the physiotherapy treatments?

    Initial physiotherapy session will be between 30 to 45 minutes and subsequent sessions approximately 30 minutes. However, specialized sessions in Women's health, Paediatric therapy, Soft tissues therapy can be one hour and are charged accordingly.

  • What do I need to bring on my first visit?

    Please bring letters from your GP or consultant and any relevant X-ray or scan reports.

  • How quickly will I be seen for my first appointment?

    We will always try to see you on the same day or within 24 hours

  • Where do I park?

    There is some limited parking behind the building (5 spaces only). Otherwise there is a 2-hour parking space opposite the clinic on Alfred Road.

  • What should I wear for appointment?

    Dress comfortably in loose fitting clothes. Shorts can be worn (or brought) for back and lower limb problems.

  • Chaperone Policy

    The practice encourages the Chaperones when the patient requests themselves and for the practical reasons would normally restrict this to one person only. All patients are welcome to be accompanied/ have a a chaperones during an assessment, procedure or treatment.
