Foot Health ProfessionalDuring my time working for the NHS as a Crisis Carer for the Rapid Response Team a few years ago, I found that I came across many patients who struggled to care for their feet. Despite my pleas to cut patients toenails unfortunately due to insurance I was unable to in that role. This led me to applying for and luckily getting the role as a Podiatry Assistant with the NHS. A role I thoroughly enjoyed. I had my own clinics in: Frimley Green, Guildford, Aldershot, Fleet, Farnham and Haslemere. The travelling became a little too much, so I reluctantly left. I then decided to become qualified and qualified with SMAE in 2025 with a merit.
I am now a self-employed Foot Health Practitioner. Initial appointments include taking a full medical history and carrying out a neurovascular assessment. I offer toenail trimming and filing, treatment and management of ingrowing toenails, treatment of fungal and thickened nails, corns and callus areas treated, and I am also insured to cut fingernails.
I thoroughly enjoy my work treating feet. I also am a volunteer with Forgotten Feet, a charity which supports and helps the most vulnerable in our communities’ care for their feet.
One of my other passions is history which I studied for seven long years part-time with the Open University and graduated in 2023 with a BA (Hons) History.
